Ranch Hand Knife
Our Ranch Hand Knife is made of 1084 High Carbon Steel and is used worldwide for knives of all purposes. Known for its durability & edge retention it is a favourite of mine to work with. Coupled with the use of Corby bolts for a secure mechanical attachment of the handle material, the combination results in strong reliable tools for farm use.

- This blade being high carbon steel requires regular coats of oil or similar products to reduce the chances of rust/corrosion appearing on the metal surface.
- Storing the blade in its sheath for extended periods will assist corrosion to appear & should be avoided.
- Using the blade to cut acidic foods like lemon or tomato with effect the patina & darken it further. Wiping clean immediately after use & the application of oil is advised.
- Please do not wash the knife under water! The use of a damp cloth if required is sufficient to clean a high carbon blade & should then be dried immediately & oiled.

Having grown up on the Western Rim of the Darling Downs, being outdoors camping, fishing & hunting with family & friends was a regular occurrence & has been a big influence in my life to date.
With a passion for food and over 30 years in hospitality (as a qualified Chef & successful Restauranteur) and venturing into farming along the way, I learned the importance of having reliable tools.
It is with this experience & the lack of available options to buy tools of a quality that suited my requirements, I started on the journey of research & skill development to make my own. With personal touches added to traditional well proven techniques & designs, each knife, though similar in some way are different in their own manner. Whether it be blade shape or geometry or handle material used they are all slightly unique from one another.
