Hay Bale Knife

Our Hay Bale/Stock Feed Knife is a small blade for cutting the string on hay bales or unpicking feed bags to then go ahead & feed your furry loved ones. The blade is 25-50mm long & handle consisting of a small bolster of varying materials from Brass to g10 or Carbon Fibre & Deer Antler.

This knife is designed primarily to be a handy little tool for light work in stock feed storage rooms. Albeit its construction method aligns itself with sturdy knives used for more robust jobs around a farm.

Having grown up on the Western Rim of the Darling Downs, being outdoors camping, fishing & hunting with family & friends was a regular occurrence & has been a big influence in my life to date.

With a passion for food and over 30 years in hospitality (as a qualified Chef & successful Restauranteur) and venturing into farming along the way, I learned the importance of having reliable tools.

It is with this experience & the lack of available options to buy tools of a quality that suited my requirements, I started on the journey of research & skill development to make my own. With personal touches added to traditional well proven techniques & designs, each knife, though similar in some way are different in their own manner. Whether it be blade shape or geometry or handle material used they are all slightly unique from one another.
